This place has a great historic background. People probably wonder why this bridge is here sometimes. It is here because of mothers. Kids back then had to attend school, but it was risky. They would have to cross train tracks in order to get school. Eventually mothers didn't want this anymore, so they tried to communicate with City Hall and the company, but did not receive any response. They protested for kids safety by standing in front of the train. Kids were also participating in this action. This protest eventually was taken to court, but the mothers won. The kids and mothers were able to get what they fought for. The bridge was then built and now known as "Raymur Pedestrian Bridge".
This place would not have existed if the mothers were not sociable. They all had the same goals of getting their kids safely to school. They came together and talked in order to get the bridge we have now. If you have goals that can be succeeded with others then you should share your ideas with them. Become more social and active with the community. A strong community can get anything done.
This place has some spiritual values in my opinion. This place can be seen as a shrine to honour the mothers that fought for this bridge. So whenever you take the bridge remember to look down at the train tracks and imagine the mothers and their kids protesting for this bridge. Anything can be done by one person but a group of people is stronger. This place is important to those who use it to get to school or get to their destinations safely. For those who know the story of the bridge can be empowered because of the mothers for not giving up and for fighting for what they wanted and succeeded. This can inspire and motivate others.
What are some of my connections with this place? It sometimes motivates me and shows me what it takes to get something that can change peoples lives in a good way. If you know people who have same goals and values as you towards something that is good then join them. Fight for what you believe in.
